Brooke Henderson

Brooke Henderson won the Shoprite LPGA Classic. The 25-year-old from Smiths Falls, Ont., shot a final round 64 to win the tournament. Her score of 64 was without a bogey, which allowed her to reach the par-5 18, where she lost an eagle shot into tap-in birdie. The tournament had been a close call before, but Henderson's final-round 64 was enough to make a playoff and secure her 11th career title.

Julie Inkster

Julie Inkster was the winner of the 1986 ShopRite LPGA Classic. This tournament, now in its 26th annual, is one of oldest on the LPGA Tour. Since that year, only Anna Nordqvist and Lydia Lee have won back-to-back events. Lee became the first LPGA Tour multi-winner this year and made over $11million in career earnings. Lee is the second woman since In Gee Chun, to win back-2-to-1 major championships.

Julie Boutier

Boutier finished ninth in the ShopRite LPGA Classic. She then jumped into the Meijer LPGA Classic to claim the top spot. Boutier managed a six-under 205 in Chevron Championships. She broke her string of three consecutive 30s. Boutier also finished tied for 34th at the US Women's Open with a scoring average of 72.5. However, she couldn't make the cut at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, earning only $98,215 for the third place finish. However, her statistics are still impressive for the five years ahead.


Mel Reid

Mel Reid, who lost a lead of two shots at the Portland Classic has won the Shoprite LPGA Classic. Ryan Desveaux was praised by the six-time LPGA Tour winner for his comeback. Reid's victory is her first major title in the LPGA Tour since she made her debut. She is a top-seeded player in the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. It's the fourth major this season.

Albane Valenzuela

Albane Valetzuela is well-placed to achieve a breakthrough finish. Valenzuela was born in New York and is currently ranked number 57 in the Race to CME Globe. She has also made five cuts this season. Despite her inconsistent play this season, Valenzuela is enjoying Canada and has the chance to gain some ground.

Lydia Ko

Lydia Ko has been able to jump back into contention at this year's ShopRite LPGA Classic, after she finished in the top 25, earning over $600k and finishing in the US Open's top 25. The Australian is six strokes behind the leaders following her opening round of 70, but she's still within reach with a scorecard of 65. This week's event takes place at the Seaview Hotel Golf Club in Long Branch.
