Morgan
Alex Morgan was injured and has been ruled out from the friendlies against England/Spain. VlatkoAndonovski, USWNT coach, has released the 24-player roster for two international games. The matches are scheduled for Oct. 7th in London, and Oct. 14th in Pamplona in Spain. Both teams are qualified to compete in the 2023 World Cup of Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is one of the top goal scorers in US women's soccer history. She is a USWNT veteran with three14 caps. If she plays in both South Korean friendlies, she could earn even more. Her turbulent career has been marred by a split with James Galanis, her long-time trainer, and major injuries. She is also the highest paid player in women's tennis.

Alyssa Thompson
Among the top young American players, Alyssa Thompson has the ability to stand out as one of the brightest prospects. She has the technical control and speed to defeat defenders in one on one duels. Tracey Kines, the head coach of US women's under-20 national team, saw her potential. Kevins remembers Thompson as a 13-year old when she was scouting for a club in Southern California. She met a forward who was "brave", and "resilient" on that field. Thompson is today a part of the US women’s national soccer team.
Tobin Heatingh
Tobin Heath is an American forward who was recently added to the US women’s soccer squad roster. She is a top player who has played for the North Carolina Tar Heels, as well the United States National team. Heath has been called "perhaps the USA's most talented player" by the United States Soccer Federation. She was named Athlete of the Year in 2016 by US Soccer.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is an controversial figure in women’s soccer. Her legacy is complicated. Solo is one of the most accomplished goalkeepers, having made 202 appearances on the U.S. soccer team, and holding a record for keeping 152 clean sheets. Solo's controversial personality has been a big talking point in the sport. Solo is known for her outspoken views.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women’s football team is currently in the final stages to qualify for the World Cup. Tobin Naeher was an unexpected selection but has proven to be a valuable player on the roster. She was there every minute of the game and saved four points in the win over France. Naeher also made an important penalty kick save in the semifinals, stopping Steph Houghton's attempt.

Tiffany McLeod
The Canadian women's soccer team was involved in a controversy over referee Christiana Persen's bias. Pedersen issued a penalty for the United States to hold the ball in their penalty area in the 80thminute. Pedersen, a former World Cup referee was not immediately available to comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe has been a consistent presence for the United States women's national team for over a decade. The forward is a powerhouse on and off the field. She was born in Redding and grew up playing volleyball with her older brother, twin sister, and younger brother. Rapinoe's performance in recent years has been impressive for the United States. She scored two goals in 2012 World Cup and one in 2015.
