Hope Solo made some recent news. Although she pleaded guilty in court to driving while intoxicated and child abuse, she was also accused of driving under the influences. She has since been dismissed from the Women's National Team. This is not the first time that Hope has been involved in newsworthy scandals. Hope Solo pleads guilty for driving under the influence

Hope Solo, a U.S. soccer player, pleaded guilty for driving while intoxicated. Forsyth County judge gave Solo suspended sentences, an active sentence for 30 days and a substance abuse evaluation. Solo was given credit by the judge for her time in a rehabilitation facility. A $2,500 fine was imposed and Solo must complete a substance abuse assessment.

She was arrested in a Walmart parking lot

Hope Solo was arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother-of-two was arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest. Additionally to these charges she was also charged misdemeanor with child abuse. Hope Solo was found unconscious in the driver's chair by a witness, so officers pulled her over. Solo was asleep in her car seat with her two children.


She was charged with misdemeanor child abuse

Hope Solo, former goalkeeper on the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (USAWNS), was arrested under suspicion of driving while drunk (DWI), resisting an arrest and misdemeanor Child Abuse. On further investigation, it was found that she was also accused of misdemeanor children abuse. Solo was charged with misdemeanor abuse of children.

She was removed from Women's National Team 2016

Hope Solo, a former U.S. Women's National Team team member, was suspended for 30 day in 2016 after being charged in 2014 with two counts domestic violence. This was due to an altercation that she had with her halfsister and her 17year-old nephew. She is due to be eligible to play for the USWNT again in February. Following reports that Solo had a drinking problem, Solo was reported to have been intoxicated while driving in a U.S. soccer vehicle.

She's had several runs-ins with the law enforcement

The retired soccer player Hope Solo has had a series of run-ins with law enforcement. She was charged with two misdemeanor assault charges in 2014. She pleaded not guilty to the charges, but they were ultimately dismissed because of procedural violations. Kirkland had earlier dropped domestic violence allegations against the soccer star. Meanwhile, Solo denied all accusations.
