
If you are a woman who likes to play basketball, Diana Taurasi and Breanna Stewart probably rank high on your list. But who is the other player on the list, anyway? You'll have to make your own decision on these players, but I've compiled a short list of the top 10 women's basketball players for your consideration.
Diana Taurasi
You can look at Diana Taurasi's resume to see if you need any convincing that she is the best WNBA basketball players. This All-Star has won numerous trophies, including the MVP Award and scoring title. Diana is also a champion, two Finals MVP awards and 14 All-WNBA selections. She is considered one of the top players in the league.
Breanna Stewart
The Seattle Storm are making their second consecutive appearance in the Finals. Breanna Stark is one of today's most outstanding players in WNBA. The two-time Finals Champion was in the MVP discussion after the 2016 Olympic Games. By the time Stewart recovered from an Achilles injury, she was widely considered to be the best player within the league. She was the league MVP and Finals MVP this year and was also considered the best player in the NBA after winning the inaugural WNBA title in 2018.

Courtney Vandersloot
In 2021, Vandersloot helped the Seattle Sky return to the playoffs after missing four years due to the departure of Elena Delle Donne. She averaged 8.6 assists per game that season and led the league in that category. In 2014 and 2015 she led the league in assists/game and was the first WNBA participant to average more then nine assists per-game. In addition, Vandersloot was the league's most valuable player in points per games. Vandersloot averaged 10.2 assists per match in the postseason.
Elena Delle Donne
While many women may debate whether Elena Delle Donne plays the best WLBA, the evidence is clear. Her season in Washington was a landmark one for the former Duke star. Not only did she become the first WNBA player to shoot over 50% from the field, but she also shot over 40% from behind the 3-point line. Her shooting percentage was so high that she won two MVPs with different teams. Her play helped the Mystics finish first in the league and top of the playoffs. Her performances earned 12 votes.
Allie Quigley
When it comes to women's basketball, Allie Quigley is one of the most intelligent and talented players in the league. Her mental toughness as well as intelligence make her a valuable player. In the playoffs she made the game-winning basket as a Chicago Sky teammate. Quigley was quickly surrounded by two defenders as she dribbled towards the basket. She quickly used the momentum created by her defenders to jump up for a mid-range jumper. She pulled up, pulled up, and fired elbow-to-elbow.
Tamika Catchings
Tamika's career has been filled with incredible stats. She is considered one of the top players in WNBA. She holds the all-time record for steals and ranks third among career points with 7,380. She has won the WNBA Player Award and three other league awards. Catchings, one of the most prominent players in the WNBA is set to be inducted into Women's Basketball Hall of Fame for 2021.

Tina Charles
Tina Charles was named the No. Tina Charles was the No. 1 overall pick in WNBA draft. She won the league's Rookie of Year award while playing for the Connecticut Sun. During her rookie year, she set league records for doubles-doubles and rebounding. Charles won her first gold medal at the Olympics after her breakout season.
