CME sponsored LPGA events at one time or another in the past. CME Group Titleholders is the most recent sponsorship. Shanshan Feng was the winner of the event. The LPGA sponsorship by the company dates back almost 20 years. The company has become a popular sponsor of golf events, and it is looking to expand its footprint even further.
Race to CME Globe
This week, the CME Group Tour Championship will change its name. It will now become the Race to the CME Globe Championship. The prize pool for first place is $2.5 million. Chicago-based CME Group is the sponsor of the event until 2023.
Tiburon Golf Club
The Tiburon Golf Club, home to the LPGA CME Group Tour Championship, is a great place to watch a professional golf tournament. The tournament will be held in 2022 at the Tiburon Golf Club, Naples, Florida. The CME Group Tour Championship, the season-ending event of the LPGA Tour, is one the most prestigious events on the women’s professional golf tour. The event will also be televised live via Golf Channel and NBC Sunday.
Jin Young Ko
Rolex World Rankings Number. Jin Young Ko has won six her last eleven LPGA starts. Jin Young Ko was plagued by injuries and travel problems in the first half. She also lost her grandmother March which affected her game. Her consistency this year has been remarkable, however. She is 9th in 10 starts with nine top-10 finishes, and 5 victories in the second-half.
Yuka Saso
Yuka So finished 29th with a 1-over 72 in the second round at the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. Saso had an excellent first round, but struggled with the tough conditions.
Natalie Gulbis
CME Group Tour Championships isn't just for professionals. It's also a great opportunity for women who are just starting out in the LPGA. Gulbis participated in a 2015 pro-am tournament and was awarded for her efforts. In return, Gulbis was invited to compete at the CME Group Tour Championship. Gulbis contributed greatly to the development and organization of this event.
Shanshan Feng
Shanshan Feng is the first Chinese woman to win a tournament on the LPGA Tour. She is now in fifth place in overall rankings and has won two major championships. She has also won more than $4 million in her career. Feng is a very exciting player on the LPGA Tour.
