She is a standout soccer player, who has represented both the North Carolina Tar Heels (USA) and the United States. Heath has been called "perhaps the USA's most talented player" by the United States Soccer Federation. US Soccer named Heath Athlete in the Year 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is a controversial figure in women's soccer, with a complex legacy. She is considered one of America's greatest goalkeepers. Solo has played in 202 games for the U.S. and holds a record with 152 clean sheets. Solo's controversial personality has been a big talking point in the sport. Solo is known for her outspoken views.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women's soccer team is in the final stages of their World Cup qualification campaign. Tobin Nasser was a surprise choice, but she has proved to be a valuable part of the team. She was there every minute of the game and saved four points in the win over France. Naeher also saved Steph Houghton's attempt to score a penalty kick in the semifinals.
Tiffany McLeod
A recent controversy in the US women's soccer team's match against Canada has the Canadian players accusing referee Christiana Pedersen of bias. The Canadians were upset after Pedersen awarded a penalty to the United States in the 80th minute for holding the ball in the penalty area. Pedersen, a former World Cup referee was not immediately available to comment.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe, a steady presence for the United States' women's national soccer team for more than 10 years. The forward is a force on and off-the field. Growing up in Redding California, she played volleyball along with her twin sister and brother. Rapinoe is a big success for the United States of America in recent years. She netted two goals in World Cup 2012 and another in World Cup 2015.
