CME Increases Sponsorship for the LPGA

CME has sponsored LPGA events previously. Most recently, it sponsored the CME Group Titleholders, where Shanshan Feng won the event. The LPGA sponsoring agreement with the company dates back nearly 20 years. The company is now a very popular sponsor of golf events.

Race to the CME Globe

CME Group Tour Championship has changed its name. It will now go by the Race to the CME Globe Championship. The first place prize is $2.5million. Chicago's CME Group will sponsor the event through 2023.

Tiburon Golf Club

The Tiburon golf club is the home of the LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. It's a great venue to view a professional tournament. In 2022 the tournament will be played on the Tiburon Golf Club Gold Course. CME Group Tour Championship: This is the season-ending tournament for the LPGA Tour. This is one of a number of top events on women's professional golf tours. The event will also be televised live via Golf Channel and NBC Sunday.

Jin Young Ko

Rolex World Rankings number 1 is Jin Young Ko. Jin Young Ko won six of her eleven LPGA starts. Jin Young Ko's first half struggled with injuries and travel issues. In March, she lost her grandmother which also affected her game. Nevertheless, her consistency has been impressive this year. She is 9th in 10 starts with nine top-10 finishes, and 5 victories in the second-half.


Yuka Saso

Yuka Saso tied for 29th in the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship with a 1-over-73. Saso had a strong start to the second round, but struggled in difficult conditions.

Natalie Gulbis

CME Group Tour Championship is not only for professionals. It's also a great opportunity for women who are just starting out in the LPGA. Gulbis participated in a 2015 pro-am tournament and was awarded for her efforts. In return, she was invited by CME Group Tour Championship to compete. Gulbis's contribution to the organization of the event was acknowledged by the invitation.

Shanshan Feng

Shanshan Feeng is the first Chinese woman in the LPGA Tour to win a tournament. She is currently in fifth place overall and has won two major championships. She has also won more that $4 million over her career. Feng is a very exciting player on the LPGA Tour.
