Hope Solo, U.S. Women's Soccer's goalie, said she made a "horrible mistake" when she climbed into a van to go with her husband Jerramy, during training camp. The incident led to Stevens' arrest for driving under the influence, while Solo was suspended for a month. She was freed from domestic violence charges less than a fortnight before the incident.

Briana Scurry is a former American soccer goalkeeper who is now an assistant coach for the Washington Spirit. Naeher, who was born April 20, 1988 in Bridgeport Connecticut, is of German, English, French Canadian descent. Naeher, a United States woman's soccer player, made her debut with the team in December 2014. She made her debut during the 7-0 victory over Argentina at the International Tournament of Brazil. Naeher is now a leading goalkeeper in women’s soccer and a key contributor to the team's success.

Megan Rapinoe

Megan Rapinoe has won the Golden Ball and the Golden Boot after leading the United States to victory at the 2019 Women's World Cup. She is also a feminist who has been fighting for equal pay and a strong voice for women in soccer. She credits her Seattle Reign coaching team, Lisa Harvey & Jill Andonovski for the improvements she's observed in the game.

Rapinoe's sexuality is not controversial. However, her popularity has allowed her to fight for equality for women players. She has been vocal in her support of the LGBTQ community. She was also the first athlete to kneel during a national anthem. This inspired Colin Kaepernick to protest racism in American sports. Rapinoe also participated in a lawsuit against US Soccer Federation for gender discrimination. The case was settled in 2021.

Jerramy Stevens

Jerramy Steens, US women’s soccer goalie was accused of assaulting Hope Solo. The two were set to get married the day before the altercation. Police say Stevens was detained on Monday for fourth-degree assault. However, a judge ruled that there wasn't enough evidence to file charges. However, prosecutors could bring charges later if they find other evidence.

Hope Solo has concerns about Stevens' arrest. Stevens, who was the captain of the U.S. Women's Soccer team and a former NFL tighten, is believed to have had an argument in 2014 with Stevens. Stevens was arrested. However, the charges were dropped. The couple are now a happy couple and have twins due March 4, 2020.
