Hope Solo pleads guilty driving while intoxicated
Hope Solo, U.S. soccer superstar, has pleaded guilty at the trial to driving while impaired. A judge in Forsyth County gave the 23-year-old suspended sentences, an active sentence of 30 days, and a substance abuse assessment. Solo was given credit by the judge for her time in a rehabilitation facility. A $2,500 fine was imposed and Solo must complete a substance abuse assessment.

She was stopped in a Walmart parking area
Hope Solo was arrested in a Walmart parking lot in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The mother of two was charged with driving under the influence and resisting arrest. Along with these charges, she was also accused of misdemeanor abuse child. Hope Solo was seen lying on the driver's side seat by a witness. The officers pulled Solo over. Solo was asleep in her car seat with her two children.
She was charged with child abuse misdemeanor
Hope Solo, former goalkeeper on the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (USAWNS), was arrested under suspicion of driving while drunk (DWI), resisting an arrest and misdemeanor Child Abuse. On further investigation it was revealed that Solo was also being charged with misdemeanor Child Abuse. Solo's involvement in domestic violence was one of the reasons Solo was charged by police.
She was removed from Women's National Team 2016
Hope Solo, a former U.S. Women's National Team team member, was suspended for 30 day in 2016 after being charged in 2014 with two counts domestic violence. This was due to an altercation that she had with her halfsister and her 17year-old nephew. She will soon be eligible for the USWNT in February. This suspension follows reports that Solo was a drinker and intoxicated while driving in a U.S. soccer van.
