There are a number of awards for women's golf players on the LPGA Tour. Players are also rewarded for their performance, including Player of the Year. A player is awarded a certain number points for every top-10 finish. Points are doubled at major championships, and the Tour Championship. For example, 30 points for first place equates to twelve points for second place. A player who finishes in the third place is awarded a point, and a player who finishes in fourth place receives four points. Then, if a player is eighth-placed, she receives three points.
