Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati-based player of soccer. She started playing soccer as a child in the YMCA youth coed leagues. She didn't celebrate or smile when she scored her first goal. Instead, she kept her cool and continued playing. She played for several local soccer teams, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college hockey at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew-up in Cincinnati, and attended Mount Notre Dame High School. She later received a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. She plays today for the Washington Spirit in NWSL. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer helped Lavelle discover her passion for soccer.

Lavelle represented the United States women’s national team at both the junior and senior levels. She was named the Big Ten's top Midfielder in November 2015. NSCAA later awarded her the honor of first-team All-American. Lavelle also represented the Dayton Dutch Lions of the USL W-League (2014 and 2015) as well the Seattle Sounders Women’s W-League (2015 and 2015). Lavelle joined Washington Spirit after graduating college. She then returned to Dayton for the start of the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League season.

Rose Lavelle received the Big Ten Midfielder-of-the Year award in December 2015. She was also selected to U.S. Women's National Team. Unfortunately, she didn't make the roster for game day. That's when her frustration began to build. She felt she wasn't making enough progress and was not in the right shape to face the demands of being a national team player. But she was able to break through with a meeting with Coach Wilkins.
Rose Lavelle plays soccer for the Badgers but is also an active participant in the university's community services programs. Rose Lavelle has been involved in Wish Upon a Badger Experience (women's soccer) and Thank-A-Thon (youth soccer clinics). She is also a brand ambassador of the premium light beer FLIGHT from Yuengling.
She is a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team
Rose Lavelle, a Cincinnati native, is an American. At just 15 years old, she became a vital member of the U.S. Women's National Team. She played at the SheBelieves Cup in the Czech Republic. Although the USWNT lost the game, they beat their opponents 18-6. Rose Lavelle received the Budweiser Woman Award for the Match.

Lavelle was injured in a friendly match against Australia in June 2017. She was hurt in the hamstring, but she returned to USWNT for the last game. She was a brilliant player throughout the tournament. Her teammates and coaches recognized her as a breakthrough player.
Lavelle has played at the World Cup for the United States. She made her World Cup debut in Thailand, but she was not able to make it against Chile. She returned to the United States against Sweden and helped them press their attacks.
