Hope Solo is an ex-American women's soccer player who has now entered an alcohol treatment center. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and misdemeanor child abuse after a March 31 arrest. The two-time Olympic gold Medalist is now appealing for her admission into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. It has been delayed until 2023. She was found unconscious behind the wheel and with her twins in the backseat. According to reports Hope Solo was drunk enough to not be able to pass a field sobriety exam or follow police instructions. She was arrested for driving under influence and resisting arrest.

The arrest occurred one month after Hope Solo was initially scheduled to be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Hope has requested that the ceremony be postponed until 2023 so she can attend the program and focus on her recovery and her family. Hope's May 21 induction ceremony was originally set.
